THE TITAN AGENCY LAUNCHES INAUGURAL TV CAMPAIGN FOR BOSCH THERMOTECHNOLOGY

June 16, 2011
The Titan Agency enlisted award winning director/producer Tony Kaye to produce the inaugural television advertising campaign for Bosch Thermotechnology in North America.

The new spots, titled “Answer Kid” and “Pretty Cool”, are running in major markets on Fox Sports Net and Fox News Network. The new ads are part of the brand’s sustained marketing initiative in the U.S. designed to educate and promote adoption of geothermal technology as a more cost effective and environmentally friendly alternative for home heating and cooling.

Filmed on location in New York City, both spots feature 12-year-old Ian Psaras, playing the role of the typical American pre-teen educating adults on the powerful attributes of geothermal. Using a combination of straight talk and visuals displayed on the latest smart devices, the intent of the spots is to demystify geothermal as a heating and cooling technology while alerting adults that a viable and sustainable energy solution for the future is available today.

“We wanted to portray the kid’s bedroom as his command center and that he was broadcasting a message to the adult population. There’s an education and awareness component that we needed to address,” Titan Chief Creative Officer Mark Sorensen said.

Titan recruited six time Grammy Award-winning director Tony Kaye, best known for his critically acclaimed film “American History X” and groundbreaking music videos for legendary performers including Johnny Cash and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, to direct the spots. Barry Alexander Brown, whose work has been nominated for an Academy Award and includes several Spike Lee films, was brought in as editor.

“It was thrilling to work with as talented of a director as Tony Kaye and editor Barry Brown. These guys have reached the pinnacle of the film industry. Being able to have them contributing on Bosch’s TV campaign only guaranteed the final product to be that much better. When a client trusts you and the people you collaborate with, the final product speaks for itself,” Sorensen said after returning from New York.

“Bosch has placed a stake in the ground and is serious about growing geothermal technology adoption in the United States. This is incredibly important and could dramatically change the energy landscape for our country,” said Titan CEO Tony DeMartino.”

A division of the global conglomerate based near Stuttgart, Germany, Bosch Thermotechnology North America specializes in sustainable home comfort solutions including geothermal heat pumps, tankless water heaters, solar thermal and photovoltaic technologies for home heating, cooling and water heating.
